Enhance your brand’s checkout experience by offering Buy X, Get Y (BXGY) discounts. This guide shows you how to create the promotion, step-by-step, helping you offer compelling deals and boost customer satisfaction.
Step 1: Open the Shopflo Dashboard and select Discounts to get started.
Step 2: Select Create Discount to begin setting up your new promotion.
Step 3: Choose Create a Single Discount.
Step 4: Enter a name for your discount and specify if it should be applied automatically or manually at checkout by the customer.
Step 5: Choose the discount function. For a BXGY offer, pick Add Discounted Items to the Cart. This lays the foundation for your Buy X, Get Y promotion.
Step 6: Decide how to select eligible items: either choose Specific products and their variants or Products from specific collections.
Step 7: Set the discount value. Since this is a Buy X Get Y deal, set the discount to 100% for the free products.
💡 Note: If you want to give away more than one product in the discount like Buy 1 Get 2 or Buy 2 Get 3, click on “+ And” and include all the products you’d like to give for free.
Step 8: Select the products the customer will receive for free and save your choices.
Step 9: Define cart conditions. Set requirements based on cart amount, number of items, or leave it open, with no conditions. Click Continue when finished.
1️⃣ Tip: To create discounts like Buy 2 Get 1 or Buy 3 Get 2, set the cart condition to "number of items in the cart" and choose the minimum quantity needed to activate the offer. You can also make the discount apply only to specific products or collections.
Note: Shopflo also gives you the option to set a maximum quantity.
2️⃣ Tip: To create discounts like Buy for ₹999, Get 2 Free or buy a certain amount to get free products, set the cart condition to "purchase amount in the cart" and choose the minimum amount required to activate the offer. You can also apply the discount only to specific products or collections.
Note: You can also set a maximum purchase amount for your cart.
Step 10: Determine customer eligibility. Apply the discount to All customers, Specific customers or segments, Lifetime customers, or Repeat customers as needed.
Step 11: Set usage limits for the offer. Limit the total number of uses for the discount, or limit the number of uses per customer if desired.
Next, establish combination rules to control whether this discount should combine with any other active discounts or not.
Step 12: Preview all settings to ensure your BXGY discount works as intended.
