Block COD for Specific Customers

Dealing with customers who consistently return orders can significantly impact your business profitability. You can restrict COD payment options for these customers. Follow this guide to set up automation that blocks COD for specific customers.

Step 1: Sign into your Shopflo Dashboard and navigate to the Automation section.

Step 2: Click on Create a New Automation.

Step 3: Provide a title and description for your automation.

Step 4: Select Cash on Delivery.

Step 5: Click on Save and Continue to proceed.

Step 6: Set the cart conditions as per your requirements. In this example, we have set no conditions.

Click on Save and Continue.

Step 7: Select specific customers in the Customer Eligibility section and upload a CSV file with the phone numbers where COD should be blocked.

Use the sample file provided to format your data correctly.

Step 8: Choose "Customer Action"

Decide when to apply the restriction:

  • No conditions β†’ Block COD for all orders for these specified customers.

  • Conditional β†’ Restrict COD only if these specified customers are redeeming rewards or using certain discounts.

Example: Choose No conditions for a straightforward block.

Step 9: Click on Save and Continue.

Step 10: Set the active period for this automation, then click Save.

Step 11: Ensure the automation is activated and run a test to confirm COD is blocked for the specified customers.
