If you choose the automatic mode then - It triggers automatically when a shopper's cart meets the conditions you define - such as a minimum cart value. No promo code is needed; the saving appears instantly when the criteria are met.

Free shipping is one of the highest-converting incentives in e-commerce. It reduces cart abandonment, encourages customers to add more items to qualify, and sets a clear value proposition that builds trust. Tying it to a minimum cart value also helps protect your margins by ensuring the order is large enough to absorb the shipping cost.

How to Set Up an Automatic Free Shipping Discount
Step 1: Click Create Discount in your Shopflo dashboard.
Step 2: Select Discount on Shipping as the discount type.
Step 3: Set the discount value to 100% to make shipping completely free for qualifying customers.
Step 4: Set the minimum cart amount required to trigger free shipping - for example, 799. Customers whose cart total reaches this threshold will automatically get free shipping.
Step 5: Choose who is eligible. Select All Customers for a sitewide offer, or narrow it down to a specific segment like First Time Customers to target new shoppers.
Step 6: Set usage limits. Choose Unlimited if you want the discount to apply every time a customer qualifies, or cap it if you are running a time-limited promotion.
Step 7: Select the Channels where this discount should be active - your online store, mobile app, or both.
Step 8: Set the active time frame. For an ongoing free shipping offer, leave the end date blank so it runs continuously.
Step 9: Review all your settings on the summary screen. Confirm the discount type, eligibility rules, cart threshold, and channels before saving.
Step 10: Click Save to activate the discount. It will begin applying automatically for qualifying orders right away.
Tips for a Stronger Free Shipping Offer
Set the cart threshold slightly above your average order value to nudge customers to add one more item.
Use callout cards on the cart page to remind customers how much more they need to add to qualify.
