If you want to prevent customers from using COD when they apply certain discount codes, you can set this up as an automation rule. Once configured, COD will be blocked automatically whenever the selected discount is applied at checkout.

Step 1: Go to the Automations page and click the New Automation button.

Step 2: In the modal, select the Start Blank option.

Step 3: Enter a title for your automation - for example, "Block COD When Customer Applies Discount."

Step 4: First step is to choose what we want to do, which in this case is block COD. Step 5: So choose Block Payment as the option from the dropdown.

Step 5: Choose the payment method to block. Select COD and click Next.

Step 6: Define when to block COD. Select Customer Action, then Apply Discounts.

Step 7: Select the specific discount(s) that should trigger the block - for example, "Welcome 10."

Step 8: Choose the channels for this automation. Select All Channels to apply it everywhere.

Step 9: Set a time frame if needed, or leave it as-is for an always-on rule. Click Save to activate.
