If you want to link your web portal to another application you must create a user token / API key. You can enter this in the add-on or pass it on to the administrator of the partner software.

Step 1: Go to Settings

Step 2: Select "User tokens"

Step 3: Select the blue "Generate token" button

Step 4: Think of a name to recognize the user token by, and press the blue "Generate" button.

Step 5: Copy the user token and save it in order to use it in your API or communicate it to the partner that needs it.

With this user token from your account, the software knows exactly from which account a signing request should be sent.

The user token is sometimes called an API key. Both names refer to the same code, that you can generate following the instructions above. A user token and API key are the same in Signhost.
