Trend Rotation Settings
Trend Rotation
Each of the Trend Rotation Reg oscillators represent the relationship (sum) of a fast and slow moving average in a higher or equal user defined time frame, and of a user defined type (simple, exponential, etc.). The vertical axis is relative to the chart (Reg version) or scaled (SD version).
Trend Rotation inputs
Settings inputs include color price (paintbar / candle coloring), fast length, slow length, average type, and six user defined time periods.
Trend Rotation Reg settings
Color Price:
When set to Yes changes the chart's candle colors. Each color reflects a number of aligned Rotation Oscillators. Default is set to Yes.
Fast length:
Representing one of two EMAs comprising each Trend Rotation oscillator.
Default is set to 12. In the SD version, values are normalized so that values are not relative like the Trend Rotation Reg version.
Slow length:
Representing the second of two EMAs comprising each Trend Rotation oscillator.
Default is set to 26. In the SD version, values are normalized so that values are not relative like the Trend Rotation Reg version.
Standard deviation length (SD version only):
Set the period length for standard deviation. Default is 200.
Average type:
Set to exponential by default. Additional average types are simple, weighted, Wilders, and hull.
Price (SD version only):
Default is set to close. User defined from drop-down menu include O, H, L, and/or Close, VWap, HL2, HLC3, OHLC4, VWAP, Volume, Open_Interest, IMP_Volatility and Tick_Count.
Trend Rotation SD settings
Higher aggregation periods 0 - 5
User defined time frames may be selected from any TOS pre-defined time frame from the corresponding drop-down menus.
Trend Rotation Plots
Values 0 - 5 and zero tabs contain adjustments for the oscillator appearances.
Clicking on any color swatch reveals that swatch's color picker.
