The Trend Rotation Signals are a companion study to the Trend Rotation tool.
Trend Rotation Signals, consists of Turn Dots and Cross Arrows.
Trend Rotation Signals SD
The Trend Rotation Signals SD (standard deviation) is like above, but where signals are normalized along a standard deviation scale instead of relative to the chart.
Trend Rotation Signals inputs
Settings inputs include fast length, slow length, turn threshold, average type, price, and six user defined time periods.
Fast length:
Representing one of two MAs. Default is set to 3. In the SD version, values are normalized so that it is not chart dependent like the Trend Rotation Reg version.
Slow length:
Representing the second of two MAs. Default is set to 10. In the SD version, values are normalized so that it is not chart dependent like the Trend Rotation Reg version.
Turn Threshold
A relative chart filter that adjusts frequently of Rotation Turn Dots. A higher threshold, fewer Dots. The lower the threshold number, the more dots appear. The default is 0.
Standard deviation length (SD version only):
Set the period length for standard deviation. Default is 200.
Average type:
Set to exponential by default. Additional average types are simple, weighted, Wilders, and hull.
Price:
Default is set to close. User defined from drop-down menu include O, H, L, and/or Close, VWap, HL2, HLC3,
Higher aggregation time frames:
period0 - period5 drop-down menus, use any TOS pre-defined time frame.
Default is set to 1 min up to 10 minutes. See also Rotation - Time Frames
Trend Rotation Signals Plots
CrossUp and CrossDown tabs contain adjustments for the Cross Arrows appearance.
TurnUp and TurnDown tabs contain adjustments for the Cross Turn Dots appearance.
Trend Rotation Signals Globals
Click the > greater than reveal arrow next to Globals to show the color swatches for all sets of arrows and dots corresponding time periods T1 - T6.
T0 Bear = Dark red down arrow and Turn Dot associated with time period 0
T10 Bull = Dark green up arrow and Turn Dot associated with time period 0
...
T5 Bear = Dark red down arrow and Turn Dot associated with time period 5
T5 Bull = Dark green up arrow and Turn Dot associated with time period 5
T0 through T5 colors are progressively darker reds and greens where T0 colors have the lightest red / green and T5 colors have the darkest.
Clicking on any color swatch reveals that swatch's color picker.
