The Assessment Summary is a snapshot, or generated summary of the most important application data. It is a great way to get a quick understanding of the application; and it is also where an assessor will build a broader picture of the application as they assess (add all their notes).
The Assessment Summary is completely configurable - a Lender can define exactly what is generated to build the summary.
Where is the Assessment Summary?
The Assessment Summary is found in the Assessment Module, which you can navigate to by clicking the Type: Assessment.
For instruction on how to get to the Assessment Module from the Assessment Process/es, click here.
When you click open the Assessment Process, the Assessment Summary is about half-way down this section:
If you click on the Assessment Summary, it will open:
What detail will be in the Assessment Summary?
The exact detail in the Assessment Summary will depend on what the lender has configured - but you should understand that all the auto-populated data comes from your Loanapp record (whatever is in Loanapp is used to populate each of the sections).
The format of the Summary will depend on the configuration chosen by your lender, but in general, the Summary will be made up of Sections, and Subsections. Each of the Sections/Subsections can then have data populated into them; and you are able to add notes per subsection:
Section
Sub-section/s within each Section
Pencil allows you to write a note on the particular sub-section
Add Note allows you write a note on the full Section
It's best practice to ensure all your important assessment notes and comments are added to this Assessment Summary, as it's a great central reference for anyone viewing the assessment; and they can also be populated onto hard copy outputs.
⚠️ Scroll all the way down the Assessment Summary (they can be quite long and comprehensive) to get a full picture of the application
Adding Notes
You can add notes to each Full Section, and/or sub-sections in the Assessment Summary:
Updating the Summary Data
If you have update the Loanapp application data, and want your Summary to update to reflect the new detail, you can click the button "Refresh summary data" at the top of the Assessment Summary whenever you want/need to:
This will update the 'auto-generated' data (coming from Loanapp); but it will not update your Notes and other work.
Here I have updated the Loanapp data to include Bonus income for Gary; and then refreshed the Assessment Summary:
What happens when you "Delegate" an Assessment Summary?
If you want to 'send' the Assessment Summary to a Manager/Colleague to review and finalise, you can "delegate" by clicking the Delegate button at the top of the Summary:
This will popup a screen where you can select who to 'send' the Assessment Summary to (either a person, or a Team (and then specific person in the team):
When the Assessment Summary is delegated, it will have a status of "waiting":
And your target person will receive an email notification and the delegation will be recorded on the Application Activity:
Marking the Assessment Summary as "Checked"
When you are satisfied that you have completed all your assessment activities; and added all the pertinent notes/detail to your summary, you can "Mark the Summary as Checked" by clicking the button at the top of the Summary:
This will mark the Summary as "Complete". This will make the Summary un-editable.
⚠️Note that you can Revise the Summary is you need to (make it editable again)
You can then make the Assessment Summary "Checked" on the main Assessment Process screen:
