When you get allocated a deal to assess in Omni, one of the first steps to take is to familiarise yourself with the deal. A key element is the supporting documents checklist that was generated to match the application data. You should review this checklist and the documents that were attached by the broker/submitter.
You can request any missing documents by issuing an Info Request.
Open supporting docs from Omni Action item
When you open the Action Item, you will see the instructions for what to do. If you are ready to work on this Action Item, click Start:
This will put the Action Item 'in progress' (and other people will know it is being worked on):
The Omni Action item will be configured to have a 'click through' action button to take you to the Supporting Documents checklist for the application you are assessing:
The Supporting Documents Checklist will open on a new Tab:
You will see the Supporting Documents Checklist in the state the Broker had it when they submitted their application - you will see exactly their work.
You will also see new items on the Checklist that the Broker will not have seen, because you are the Assessor (eg requirement for Credit Bureau report and other assessment documents).
You are now working on the "Assessment level" checklist - the final checklist for the application; made up of the broker's work; and now your work.
Give the Checklist a quick review
The Checklist will have been generated dynamically - the items on the checklist will match the data in the application. In the previous action item you would have reviewed the Loanapp application and Assessment Summary (ie you will know what type of application it is)
You should now review the checklist itself - see what is on the checklist and and what checklist items have been satisfied with uploaded documents.
The generated checklist is on the left hand panel. You can click 'show all' to have the entire checklist visible:
For each of the uploaded/attached documents that the broker/submitter has provided, you can see 1) when it was uploaded and 2) when it was submitted (this can be important if you allow the broker to continue sending documents after submission):
View an uploaded document
You are able to get a better look at an uploaded by clicking on the thumbnail of the attached document and dragging it across to the "View or Edit" function:
This will open a third panel in your Checklist - the viewing panel:
You are then able to View, or even Edit the document (eg highlight something, or redact something).
⚠️IF you do edit the document, the checklist document will automatically update to your edited version 🤩
"Reject" any documents that aren't acceptable
As you view the documents, you might want to reject some of them (eg the good-old blank s.doc!)
If you do want to reject a document, drag it across to the "reject" bucket:
You will get a prompt to add a reason for rejecting the supporting document:
If you reject a document, the checklist item will become 'unsatisfied' again:
Rejected documents do not get removed completely - they will remain in the rejected bucket, which you can get to by clicking the "rejected" control:
And if you hover over a rejected document, you will be able to see your reason for rejecting:

Checklist items that are not completed
You may see checklist items on your checklist that are not completed. This will be because 1) the broker/submitter has not provided the document or 2) as an assessor, you are now seeing new checklist items that need to be provided
Request missing supporting documents
For any missing supporting documents, you can issue an info request to the broker or applicants to provide that document. You should issue the request from Omni - as the returned document will come back to you in your assessment workflow.
In the Omni record, go to the Action Item "Request any Missing Information":
You should use this Action Item to request missing information as it is an "optional" step - and can remain open (not passed) while you progress to then next Omni Process.
If you raise any Info Requests, the target person (eg Broker) will get an email invite to login and upload the required document, which will come back to your Action item in Omni

"Pass" the checklist review
This initial review step is exactly that - a chance to give the checklist an initial review.
Even if you have checklist items that are not satisfied, you should now "Pass" this Action item once you have had the initial review and familiarised with the state of the checklist.
In the Omni record, go back to the Action Item "Review the Supporting Documents Checklist". You can add some notes if you wish; and then click "Pass"
You get a final "are you sure" message:
Next step in your assessment: Verify the Supporting Documents
