While assessing a deal, if you need to request missing or further information from your broker or customer, you are able to do this via the secure Info Request functionality.
The Info Request button is available in all Action Items in Omni.
When you raise an Info Request, the Action Item status will change to "Waiting" until the requested information is provided and accepted by you.
Creating an Info Request
An Info Request can be raised from Action item pages in Omni, by clicking the Info Request button:
A new modal will open, where you can add the detail for your Info Request:
Give your request a title
Add a message for your request
Select 'who' you are sending this to. Generally it will be the broker, or the applicant
Select a document from a pre-sent list of documents; or add a 'custom' document (bespoke detail of what document you are after)
Click Request (this will send the Info Request to your target)
An outstanding Info Request will become a new "waiting" action item in your Omni record
When you click "Request", three things will happen:
the actual request will be sent to the target's email
the Info Request will become a 'waiting' item in your Omni record
the Info Request will become an 'open' item in the Info Request module for this application
You can add any number of Info Requests to an Omni Record/or specific action item.
If you want to see all the Info Requests you have on a deal (or across all your deals), you can use the Omni Filters to filter to Info Requests
What is the experience of your target?
When you click Request, an email will be sent to your target person.
(The content and design of the email will depend on what the lender sets):
Your target is able to click the link and login to a secure portal.
Note that if the target is a broker, they will already have a login to your channel
Once logged, in the target will be able to see any/all requests that have been made to them from the one portal. (If you have sent them more than one request, they will all be visible):
Your target is able to click on the request to see more detail:
They can then upload required documents and/or add comments, and submit back to you:
What happens when an Info Request is responded to?
A couple of things will happen the moment your target submits an Info Request back to you.
You will get an email notification that you have got a response
When an info request is completed, the person who sent the info request (eg the assessor) will get an email notification that it has been sent back:
If you click the link in the email, it will take you to the Info Request module (the central place for all the Info Requests for that application, no matter where they were created)
Your Omni task status will update to "Info Added"
Your Omni task where you created the info request will update from "waiting" to "in progress", with "Info added":
If you click on the Request itself, you will be able to see the uploaded document (and comments):
If you click on the thumbnail image of the document, it will open up in full.
If you are not happy with the document, you are able to resend the request.
You can close off (finalise) the Info Request
If you are happy that the document is acceptable, you are able to then "mark as provided".
This will close off the Info Request and send the document to supporting docs checklist, ready for you to attach to a checklist requirement.
