Your channel comes with a default setting for Credit Assessor Users. You are able to adopt this default setting, or update it as you like. The default setting will ensure that a Credit Assessor will have appropriate access to applications and assessment workflows.

When you set up a new User in your channel and give this User a User Type of Credit Assessor, this will automatically set the default Permission Groups that have been configured for the Credit Assessor User Type:

You will note that there is more than one default permission group set for the Broker User. This is because the system sets Permissions for:

  • Overall Access to your channel (Simpology Manager)

  • Access to consumer functionality (allows brokers to use Info Request with their applicants)

  • Access to Omni (if you are using Simpology Omni, you can give brokers a level of access to see assessment activities and/or Missing Information Requests)

  • Access to Loanapp

Default Settings for Credit Assessor Role: Simpology Manager

The Credit Assessor Permission Group is set for your Credit Assessors - ensure you have selected Credit Assessor in the Permission Group dropdown before configuring:

Application Management

Sets rules on ability to access/view/edit/manage Loanapp Applications, which is found in the Solutions Menu, Application Processing.

You are able to set whether your credit assessors can access applications, and then coordinate or participate in application management:

Broker Management

Sets rules on credit assessor ability to access/view/edit/manage broker profiles and sections.

Consumer

Consumer must be enabled for a credit assessor to be able to send and receive Info Requests directly with applicants:

Dashboard

Sets rules on Credit Assessor ability to be able to view and/or participate in the Dashboard, which can display pipeline lodgement information.

Document Verification

Sets rules on ability to be able to access and/or use Document Verification functionality, which is a key tool for triage and verification or supporting documents:

Menu Access

Sets rules on access to the different menus/functions of Simpology Manager:

Organisation

Sets rules on ability to access/view/edit the different layers of the Organisation menu item (which manages user access, staff, brokers, partners, etc). Credit Assessors generally should only be able to view (not edit) user profiles and information:

Permissions

Sets rules on ability to access the Permissions section in your company profile - and therefore manage permissions across your users. Credit Assessors generally have no ability to manage permissions:

Product

Sets rules on ability to access the Product & Serviceability sections - and rules on ability to view/edit the Products/Serviceability logic of your organisation; along with rules on being able to access/manage subscriptions to your logic. Credit Assessors generally don't have access to this section. Generally another Permission Group will be created to allow access to these engines, and it you are able to give senior Credit Assessors this second Permission Group:

Supporting Docs

Sets rules on ability to access and use the Supporting Documents functionality in the Applications Section. Supporting Docs is found in Solutions, Application Processing. Credit Assessors should have access to view broker supporting document checklists; and to manage and categorise supporting docs:

Default Settings for Credit Assessor Role: Loanapp

Sets rules on ability to access broker Loanapp submissions and/or to use Loanapp for their own Credit Assessment workflows.

Default Settings for Broker Role: Omni

Sets rules on ability to access Omni assessment workflows. You will only set access if you are using Omni in any capacity for triage or assessment workflows.
