The Loanapp ecosystem has sophisticated subscription capabilities that means that Funder and Network/Branded partner channels can 'share' products engine configurations. This means:

  • a FUNDER can build their master products engine

  • a PARTNER (eg a Mortgage Manager or Whitelabel) can 'subscribe' to this master products engine, so that the Partner products configuration is dynamically controlled by the Funder products engine

When Products configurations in Channels are tied together in this way, whenever the FUNDER updates their Products configuration (rates, features, logic, fees etc), the PARTNER configurations automatically update.

A PARTNER is able to re-configure various aspects of the FUNDER configuration, such as

  • Product Names

  • Margins

  • Fees

There are three main steps to subscribe to X-channel products:

As a Mortgage Manager (Partner), Subscribe to FUNDER Products

In the Partner Channel, go to Account/Subscriptions/Data Subscription:

When you land in the Data Subscriptions page, expand the section titled "Subscribe to data":

This section will allow you to request subscription to another channels' data (products, serviceability, and even policy).

To subscribe to another channel, click the edit icon in the right of the section:

This will present to you a set of controls to "request" subscription from another channel:

  1. A drop-down of all the available Channels in the Simpology ecosystem that you may request subscription to. You will use this drop-down to select the Channel (Lender) that you want to subscribe to.

  2. A list of 'collections' that your target Channel has configured in their channel. A collection will generally be for a specific segment of their offering (eg Residential Mortgages or Commercial Mortgages).

  3. You should add your (or a key contact) details for your Channel. When your target channel approves your subscription, this person will be notified. It also tells the target channel who is requesting the subscription

  4. The email entered here will get the notification of subscription approval. The target Channel may also want to get in touch to discuss the request and so the contact's mobile is also required.

  5. This set of toggles allows you to select which of the target Channels' engines you want to request subscription to:

    1. products engine

    2. serviceability engine

    3. policy engine

  6. Request will send the request to the target Channel for review and approval (see next section)

When you have completed your request, you will see that the request is now registered and "Pending":

As a Funder: Approving a requested subscription from a Mortgage Manager/Partner

When a Partner channel requests subscription to your data, your registered Channel owner will receive an email notification of the request. To review and action the request, go to Account/Subscriptions/Data Subscription in your channel:

However this time, expand the section named "Publish Data":

When you expand this section, you will see the waiting request from your Partner channel to subscribe to your data:

Approving the request is as simple as clicking Approve. When you Approve the request, your Partner will receive an email notification that the request has been approved.

(You may also decline the request).

Approving Access to All or only some of your Products

If a requesting partner is allowed to have access to all your Products, you should toggle "Allow All Products" to Yes, and then click Approve:

If a requesting partner does not/should not have access to the whole of the requested products collection, you should leave "Allow All Products" toggled to No, and click the Edit button under Allowed Products:

A new window will popup, and you are able to select specific products at a Group, Subgroup and Product level:

If you then Save, and click Approve - your Partner's Products engine will only populate with the selected products you have granted access to.

Note that you are able to edit a Partner's subscription (and what Products they have access to) at any time in the future

As a Mortgage Manager: Updating the subscribed Funder products with your own Names, Rates, Fees

When you have received confirmation that the requested subscription has been approved, the products you have requested will be instantly available in your own channel's products engine. To view the Products, go to Solutions/Loan Data/Product:

Click on the Collection dropdown, and you will see the Collection that has come from your Funder's Products engine (the Collection will have the notation 'subscribed from'):

When you select this collection, all of your Funder's products will instantly be available:

Note if you cannot access this Collection it will be because you do not have the correct permission. You need to ensure you have Subscriber Customisation Permission set to Edit

Because you have subscribed to these products and they 'belong' to the Funder, the overall configuration cannot be managed by you. The products will be forever linked to your Funder - whenever the funder changes anything in the configuration, rates or fees - your product will also update.

What you can configure, is the Name of the Product, the margin (which will alter the Rate to Borrower) and the Fees.

To make any update to the Name, Margin or Fees, scroll to the bottom of the product config to the Subscriber Customisation section:

When you expand this section, you will see that you can make and save changes to the Product:

To change the Name of the product to suit your brand:

If you want to add margin (which will affect the Rate to Borrower):

And if you want to add to the Funder's fees, you can select each fee and amend the amount - this will then display to the total amount (Funder + your change):

When you click Save, these Product Overrides will then final configuration of this Product, as published into your application journeys.

You are able to Subscribe to any number of Funder Products engines - your own products Engine can be made up of many Funder Engines.
