AMP have a Digital Verification of Identity service integrated in their Loanapp workflow to make the verification of your Applicant and their identity a breeze.

When you trigger the service, your applicant/s will receive an email invite to complete the digital ID verification workflow.

Your applicant/s will need copies of their ID (generally their Drivers Licence or Passport) with them to complete the workflow.

The workflow takes only a couple of minutes, and can be completed on a mobile.

When complete, the service will return an ID Verification Report back to Loanapp for you to review.

Note: If you have already got an IDVerse VOI report for your applicant/s - you can 'share' this report with Loanapp

Where is the Digital VOI Service?

The Digital VOI Service is found at the bottom of the Applicants Page, and is named

Verification of Identity (VOI):

How do I trigger the Digital VOI Service?

If you expand the widget, you will see that there is a "request" button:

When you click the request button, a popup will appear with the option to

  • Request from Applicant: this will send an SMS invite to your applicant to complete the VOI

  • Enter reference number: where you have already completed a digital VOI via IDVerse, you can 'recall' this report (and not need your applicants to do it again!). For more on this feature, click here.

Request from Applicant

Where you are needing the Applicant/s to complete a digital VOI, click "request from applicant", and then Submit.

This will send an SMS request to your applicant/s on their mobile. You will see confirmation that the request has been sent; and the widget status will change to "requested":

You can continue working on your Loanapp application, or log out - when the digital VOI is completed by your applicant, you will get an email notification.

What is your Applicant's experience?

Your applicant/s will receive an sms from AMP asking them to verify their identity for their application:

When they click on the link, the service will launch and it will first have them read through a Privacy Consent (and agree) to the service:

The workflow will ask them to capture a photo of the ID they want to use.

Once your applicant has taken a photo of their ID, the service will process the data, and present the data back to the applicant for any corrections.

Next your applicant will be instructed to do a 'liveness' selfie. This requires them to use their phone to take a selfie, while following instructions on screen (eg smile, look to the left):

The process only takes about two minutes and then your applicants have been successfully verified. Once completed, they can close down the service.

What happens when the Service is completed?

When your applicant/s complete the Digital VOI, two things will happen:

  • you will receive an email notification that the Digital VOI has been completed

  • the 'status' in the VOI Digital Widget will update to "Completed"

Reviewing the VOI report

When your applicants have completed their VOI, the VOI report will be automatically returned to Loanapp and inserted into the Digital Widget. You will be able to review the VOI report by clicking on the "details" button in the VOI widget:

A pop-up will appear, and you are able to download the PDF report:

🤩The report will also be sent to the Supporting Documents module, and will automatically attach/verify the VOI checklist requirement.

ID Data will be populated into Loanapp

Another nice feature is that the ID data that has been gathered as part of the VOI process (when your applicant's upload/take a photo of their ID documents) will be automatically inserted into your Loanapp record. In this example the applicant used their Driver's Licence for their VOI; and the ID data has been populated into Loanapp:

Note that when your applicants have completed their Digital VOI, the next ID service in AMP workflow will trigger: ID Document Verification.

  • it will auto-skip where you have ordered a fresh IDVerse report in Loanapp

  • it will auto-run where you have 'recalled' an existing IDVerse report to Loanapp
