Info Request is some great functionality available in Loanapp and other Simpology solutions that allows you to request Documents or Information from external parties (eg your applicants) via a secure portal.

There are two primary use cases for Info Requests:

  • a Broker sending an Info Request to an applicant to upload supporting documents

  • an assessor sending an Info Request to a broker (or maybe applicant) to provide further documents or information

The Info Request button/function can be found in many places in Loanapp and Simpology Solutions, but ALL Info requests that you create (no matter where you create them), land in the Info Request section in Simpology Manager.

Where-ever you create an Info Request, the functionality and experience is essentially the same in that:

  • you create an Info Request with the detail of what you are requesting, and who you are requesting it from

  • your target person receives an email letting them know they have a request for information waiting for them

  • your target person clicks a link to login to the secure portal (on any device) to review your request, upload documents and/or add comment, and 'submit' the finalised request back to you

  • you receive the returned document/detail which you can then use while working on the application

All replies to Info Requests (no matter where you request them) return to the Information Request page in Simpology Manager.

Where can you create an info request?

The Info Request button/functionality is in many places in Loanapp and Simpology Manager:

In Loanapp, when you have generated your supporting documents checklist, you can trigger Loanapp sending out a request to your applicant/s for ALL outstanding documents

In Loanapp, when you have generated your supporting documents checklist, you can trigger Loanapp to create requests for all outstanding documents for you to first review; and THEN send out to applicant/s

In Supporting Documents, you can create an info request whenever you want to, to request a supporting document from your applicant/s

From the Application Grid, you are able to go to the Information Request Section to create an Info Request, or to check on requested ones. Once there, you can create a new Info Request for a selected application.

You can also go to the Information Request section from the Menu bar along the top of Simpology Manager. Once there, you can create a new Info Request for a selected application.

What is the experience for my applicant when I send them a request?

No matter where you create the request, the experience is always the same for the target person.

Your applicant will receive an email notifying them of your request. Within the email will be the instruction to 'click here' to sign in and review the request:

The applicant will be taken to a screen to finalise their credentials (set a password):

And then taken to the login screen:

πŸ“± πŸ’» πŸ–₯️ Your applicant can login on any device.

When they login, they will see your request/s:

The applicant can click on a request, review the message, and upload (or take a photo) of the required documents.

Once ready, they can submit back to you.

How do I 'receive' an info request?

All returned info requests will land in the Information Request module in Simpology Manager.

This is where you can manage all your Info Requests, across all your applications.

When your applicant returns an info request, the request status will change to

Replied status:

If you click on this item, you will be able to review the request details, and see what has been returned by the applicant:

If you click on the PDF icon, you will be able to review the document that has been attached:

If you are happy with the document, you can "Accept Response, send doc to supporting docs, and close request":

The Info Request will then be 'Complete':

And if you go to the supporting docs checklist, your document will be in your Documents Bucket, waiting for you to attach to the checklist requirement:
