QuickBooks Desktop Integration available on Plus & Premier Tier
Connecting QuickBooks Desktop to SingleOps lets your two systems share data automatically through the QuickBooks Web Connector, so changes you make in SingleOps (like adding a client) flow into QuickBooks. This article walks you through the prerequisites, the first-time connection, and how to reset the Web Connector if there is ever a need.

Before You Begin
Before you begin, confirm the following:
You have Admin access in SingleOps and Admin acces to your QuickBooks Desktop
You are on Windows. QuickBooks Desktop does not work with the Mac operating system.
Run QuickBooks Desktop as Administrator.
Use one dedicated machine for the sync rather than running the connector on multiple computers.
If you connect through Remote Desktop, run QuickBooks Desktop and the Web Connector in the same session.
Connect QuickBooks Desktop to SingleOps
In QuickBooks, on your QuickBooks Home Page, hit the F2 key at top of your keyboard. The Product Information window opens. Alternatively, if F2 does not work for you, Ctrl + 1 is another method
Under File Information, locate Location and copy the full path of the QBD company file path.
In SingleOps, navigate to: Setup Account Settings
On the blue side menu, click QuickBooks
Click the QuickBooks Desktop button to open the QuickBooks Desktop Web Connector page
Paste the file path that you copied in step 2 into the Company File Path box and set the auto run interval to 5 minutes
Click Save Settings & Download QWC File
Open download that pops up at bottom of the browser screen
When the window appears asking you to authorize a new web connection between SingleOps and your QuickBooks file, click OK.
SingleOps will request access to make changes in QuickBooks (for example, adding a client in SingleOps also adds that client to QuickBooks).Return to QuickBooks. In the window asking when SingleOps should have access, choose your preferred option. SingleOps recommends "Whenever this QuickBooks company file is open."
Leave the checkbox at the bottom of the window unchecked. SSN or credit card information is not needed. Click Done
Connect / Reconnect Web Connector
Open QuickBooks and then open your QuickBooks Web Connector. (if web connector isn’t open, open it by going to File > App Management > Update Web Services)
Click the checkbox to left of SingleOps production
In the pop up, enter your SingleOps password and click OK. Save password.
When box is checked, click Update Selected. This runs the initial sync.
Your QBD data is now importing into SingleOps
The sync will likely run a few times to pull all data, and should be configured to run automatically every 5 minutes.
Additional Notes
QuickBooks Desktop does NOT work with Mac operating system.
If you charge sales tax, SingleOps can see tax rates but they can’t be changed in SingleOps
This will probably have to run a couple of times to get all data. It will automatically run every 5 minutes
Can minimize web connector runs in background can use QB as normal while web connector is open
If the sync gets stuck or does not complete, go into the QuickBooks Sync Wizard and click Approve to move things along. This is important as it can happen often with QuickBooks Desktop and those that have a lot of data.
Resetting the Web Connector Using a Fresh QWC File
If your existing connection is failing, the first thing to try is reconnecting with a fresh QWC file
In the Web Connector, remove the existing SingleOps entry.
In SingleOps, download a fresh QWC file from the QuickBooks Desktop settings page.
Re-add and authorize the new QWC file.
Check the box next to SingleOps production, enter and save your SingleOps password, then click Update Selected.
