Create a Design Build/Install Proposal ✔

Create a Design/Build install proposal step by step, adding customer details, location, and item groups for services.

Create a Design/Build Proposal

  1. Add Details
Customer, Job Name, Operation, Visit Location

  2. Is this a One-Off Job or Recurring?
    Select One-Off

  3. Add Location
Enter address in Visit Location field, address options will populate to select.

💡 If visit address is the same as the billing address, select 'Use Billable Location' to fill in address.

  4. Estimate
Select +Add Item Group to add services

💡Job Templates can prefill common items, pricing, and tags to speed up estimating. Property Measurements let you take square or linear foot measurements on the site map, and Production Rates can use those measurements to estimate budgeted materials and labor hours.

  5. Go to Map & Notes

    1. Add Map pins & Notes for customers and team.

(Optional) If using Production Rates, apply a map measurement to a custom input, then select Recalculate Quantities to update estimated materials and labor.

    2. (Optional) Enable Progress Billing - Manual Progress Billing

      1. Manual Progress Billing invoices are created manually. Each invoice can include existing Job items, ad hoc items, or both, up to the Job total. If you use Visit Splitting, items from completed visits can prefill on the invoice.

  6. Additional Options
Add Discounts, Deposits or Financing. If the job requires an upfront payment, enable Deposit and enter the required amount.

  7. Select Save & Close

Actual

Items or item groups marked Actual are visible to crews on work orders and show only the cost to your business.

Billable

Items or item groups marked Billable are visible to customers on proposals and invoices and show only the price charged to the customer.

💡For One-Off Design/Build work that takes more than one day, Visit Splitting can divide the job into phases (for example, Site Prep, Installation, and Clean Up) so each phase can be completed and billed separately.
