If a Supplier's billing information is different from their general contact details, you can customize it in the system. This is useful if one person manages the Supplier's account, but another individual or organization handles payments. You can also set the Supplier’s currency and commission rates.
Customizing billing information ensures invoices and payment-related communication go to the correct contact without changing the Supplier's general details. This applies to both Verified Suppliers and manually added Suppliers.
Update Supplier Billing
To begin, locate the Supplier you want to update and click to edit their details.
In the Edit Supplier window, open the Billing tab.
There are three options for selecting billing contact information:
Supplier Information: For Verified Suppliers, suggested contact and billing information will appear as the first option with a "recommended" tag.
Select a Contact - For manually added Suppliers or Verified Suppliers with designated Supplier Contacts in charge of billing. Use the dropdown to select a Supplier Contact or search for them by their Address or Business Name. For more information on Supplier Contacts, see the article here.
Add Custom Billing - Use this option to create custom billing details not linked to any Supplier Contacts or system data. Enter the required billing information manually.
After selecting the billing contact information, set the default Currency and Commission rate for invoices.
Click Save Supplier to keep your changes.
