A Share Link allows you to easily share visualisations in your project, including 3D models, annotation groups, and image/panorama groups, with stakeholders who do not have a login to SKAND.

Where will the default view of the share link position my camera?
If you have a selected panorama or image, that will be prioritised first.
If the "Share with Current Camera Position and Orientation" option is enabled, it will take precedence second.
If an annotation is selected, it will be prioritised third.
Finally, the camera will fly to the first visible layer by default.
Can the viewer edit and create in the share link?
Viewers can perform temporary measurements, but these cannot be saved. Share links are read-only. If you wish to grant viewers edit access to your project, you can invite them to your account and assign the appropriate permissions.
What do you mean by "I can customise my share link"?
You can control the default view your viewers see when accessing the share link. This includes camera position and orientation, specific annotation, image, or panorama to display first, as well as choosing the coordinate system for readings, globe state, background colour of the 3D viewer, and panorama size.
Each time you share, you can customise the default view, and the system will generate a tailored URL. Please note that only updates to the selected layers of the shared link will affect previously shared URLs. The customised default view settings won't be saved with the share link and won't impact any previously shared URLs.
How to customise the default view for share links?
We currently offer the following options to customise the default view of share links:

Share with current camera position and orientation | This option captures your current camera position and orientation as the initial viewpoint, allowing you to precisely control where viewers begin their exploration of models or annotations. |
Default coordinate system | This option modifies the default coordinate system used for measurements and cursor position. |
Map State | You can choose to turn off the globe or enable 2D aerial map or 3D terrain view by default. |
Background Colour | Customise the background colour of the viewer. This is especially useful when sharing a model without RGB data, helping viewers better locate the model. |
Panorama size | You can adjust the default size of panoramas in the 3D viewer. Increasing the size is helpful for guiding viewers in large open spaces, while reducing the size is beneficial for indoor projects. |
Default annotation | Automatically position the default camera to the selected annotation, making it easier for you to highlight important details for your viewers. |
Default image or panorama | Choose the exact image or panorama your viewers see first. Please note that if you select a panorama for your default view, the share link will open in panorama view by default. |
