Views

Discover how to create, customize, and share saved Views for consistent collaboration across your projects.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Views allow users to save the current state of their viewer and its settings, customize the default view of the project, and share it with other users. They help teams maintain consistency, revisit important perspectives quickly, and guide collaborators to the right view.

What You Can Do With Views

Views let you:

  • Capture the current state of the viewer

  • Save it as a reusable view

  • Set a project's default view

  • Create private or shared Views

  • Attach it to a Share Link

Thumbnail View & List View

The Views panel offers two layout modes for browsing and managing your saved Views. You can switch between them using the two toggle icons located next to the search bar at the top of the Views panel.

  • Thumbnail View (Default)

Thumbnail View is the default layout. Each saved View is displayed as a large thumbnail preview card with the View name shown above it. Hovering over a thumbnail reveals an Apply view button, allowing you to quickly apply the View to the 3D scene. This layout is ideal for visually identifying and selecting the right View at a glance.

  • List View [NEW]

List View displays all your saved Views in a compact row format. Each View is shown as a single row with a small thumbnail icon on the left followed by the View name. Hovering over a row reveals an Apply button and a Home icon for quick actions. This layout is especially useful for projects with a large number of saved Views, as it allows you to scan through and navigate between Views more efficiently.

Both layouts display folders at the top of the panel and individual Views below them. The ACTIVE badge, Home icon, and ellipsis (…) menu are accessible in both layouts.

  1. Make sure all views and settings are properly configured before saving a View.
