Welcome to SKAND
Hello and welcome to SKAND! The following quick start guides will walk you through SKAND’s core features. By the end of the tutorial series, you’ll be able to navigate the platform with ease and confidently work with your data in 3D.
Uploading Spatial Data
The first and one of the most important steps in using SKAND is uploading your spatial data.
There are three options you can upload your spatial data: through the Data Management, the Project Description page, or directly from the Files tab in Explore. For this training session, we'll upload a file through Data Management.
Pro tip: For most users, the best practice is to upload spatial data through Data Management or the Files tab. The Project Description page will be deprecated soon.
How to Upload Files through Data Management
Data Management is the central place to upload and organize your spatial data in SKAND. This section walks you through the steps to add your files on your account.
Note: Download this 3D tile before proceeding. You will use the same file in this exercise.

Click Upload to initiate the file upload prompt.
You can either drag and drop the files or browse them from your local drive.
Click Upload files once the file is ready for upload.
Optional: Click Show Details to view the upload status of each file.
Click Save and close to complete file upload.
The 3D tile is now visible in Data Management.
