What universities are involved in the RSSP?

Universities have been the driving force behind the Refugee Student Settlement Pathway.

Universities accepting students starting in 2026

The first cohort of RSSP students will be arriving in Australia to begin studies in semester 1, 2026. The following universities have committed to accepting students in this first intake of students:

  1. Australian National University

  2. Deakin University

  3. The University of Melbourne

  4. University of Technology Sydney

  5. The University of Queensland

  6. Western Sydney University

  7. The University of Sydney

More universities will be announced shortly.

Australian Refugee Welcome University Sponsorship Consortium (ARWUSC)

In addition to these pioneering universities accepting students in the first cohort, the RSSP is supported by a wider network of universities participating in the Australian Refugee Welcome University Sponsorship Consortium (ARWUSC). The ARWUSC consists of 19 Australian member universities, chaired by the Australian National University. Here is a full list of the participating universities:
