When you buy an item through P2P, the delivery depends completely on the external seller. If the seller cancels the order or doesn’t send the skin in time, the trade will fail. This isn’t caused by your account or anything on your side, it’s simply the seller not completing the delivery.

Why does this happen?

Most P2P sellers deliver quickly and without issues, but sometimes a seller may cancel, not send within time, or just not send the trade. When that happens, the system marks the trade as failed and refunds you.

How can I prevent this from happening?

There’s no guaranteed way to stop sellers from canceling, but you can reduce the chance of it happening:

• Try a different seller if one fails multiple times
• Check their delivery time and success rate
• Avoid sellers with slow or inconsistent delivery history

Choosing a more reliable seller usually solves the issue.

Is SkinSwap able to stop failed P2P trades?

Unfortunately, no. P2P trades rely on independent third-party sellers, and we have no control over when they send the trade offer. What we can do is make sure you’re refunded instantly whenever a seller cancels or doesn’t deliver.
