How do I recognise a real trade offer?
SkinSwap shows you the details of the account sending your trade offer, such as its level and badges. Check them carefully against the offer in Steam before you accept.
When you trade with skins, the first offer takes your skins and shows nothing on your side. That is normal, as long as the sender matches the details shown on SkinSwap.
We send only one trade offer per item.
If you receive two offers for the same skin and one is cancelled, it is almost always a scam. Do not accept it.
Will SkinSwap staff contact me?
SkinSwap staff never message you first, on Steam, Discord or anywhere else. Our official Discord account is bob_skinswap. If anyone else claims to be from SkinSwap, do not trust them.
How do I protect my Steam account?
Keep the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator active. If you notice trade offers you did not create, follow the steps in I think I've been scammed and contact us through the chat button at the bottom right of the site.
