I think I've been scammed

What to do right away if you think you have been scammed or your Steam account is compromised.

If you think you have been scammed, secure your Steam account straight away, then contact us so we can help.

How do I secure my Steam account?

  1. Change your Steam password.

  2. Revoke your Steam Web API key.

  3. Check your Steam trade offers and decline any you do not recognise.

Be careful with Steam's trade reversal: it does not reverse just one trade. It reverses all your trades from the past 30 days, including any trades with SkinSwap, and reversing a trade with SkinSwap leads to a ban. See Trade reversals, chargebacks and bans.

Can SkinSwap refund what I lost?

No. SkinSwap cannot refund losses from scams. Our support team will help you make your account safe again.

Was your card used on SkinSwap without your permission?

Contact us at support@skinswap.com with the last 4 digits of the card, the date and time of the charge with your time zone, and the amount in USD. If the deposit is still waiting for approval, it can be refunded. If the funds have already been used, we cannot refund them, but we will give you the deposit details for your bank.
