Introduction
Workforce Management provides the ability to map data between Workforce Management timecards and Paylocity. Once mappings are in place, the CSV export of timecard data can be imported directly into Paylocity.
Prerequisite
Administrator or Manager with 'manage timecards' sub-permission
Navigation
From Customer Hub, click on Workforce > Timecards.
From the Timecards dashboard, then click Export > Export to Payroll > Paylocity (CSV)
Mappings between Workforce Management and Paylocity
Please contact your Paylocity account representative to obtain the codes which are specific to your Paylocity account.
Mapping is typically a one-time exercise on initial setup, which is retained once set. Changes may be subsequently required, however this should be infrequent.
Map the following high-level sections:
Workforce Management Department to Paylocity Department
Workforce Management Compliance Rule to Paylocity Earnings Code
Workforce Management Job to Paylocity Position
Note!
Ensure each employee has their Payroll Id attribute populated in their employee profile. This information is populated into the EmployeeId attribute within the export. If the ID is not set, then the employee name will be populated instead in the export.
Export CSV file
Once mappings have been created, click 'Export' to generate the Paylocity file.
