Market Data Subscriptions and Professional Classification

Slay Markets market data: free CME Level I bundle (CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX), paid Level II $48/$16, Eurex $26/$99, ICE $140, plus professional vs non-professional classification rates.

Every Slay Markets brokerage account includes free real-time Level I (top-of-book) market data for the four CME Group exchanges — CME, CBOT, NYMEX, and COMEX — through the CME Group bundle, at no cost and with no subscription required. Additional Slay Markets market data is available as an optional paid monthly subscription: CME Level II depth, Eurex (European futures), and ICE U.S. The rate you pay on a paid subscription depends on whether the exchange classifies you as a non-professional or professional market data user, and most retail traders qualify for the lower non-professional rate.

What Slay Markets market data is free with your account

Every Slay Markets account includes the CME Group Bundle (Level I) free of charge, with no subscription required. Level I is real-time top-of-book data covering all four CME Group exchanges:

  • CME Group Bundle (Level I) — real-time top-of-book data for all four CME Group exchanges: CME, CBOT, NYMEX, and COMEX. Covers equity indexes, energy, metals, interest rates, and agricultural futures.

  • This CME Level I data is included free with every Slay Markets account. No subscription is required to receive it.

Free real-time CME Level I data applies to live trading. All three NinjaTrader platforms also support simulation (paper) trading with live market data, so you can practice without affecting your real account balance.

How much do paid Slay Markets market data subscriptions cost

Beyond the free CME Level I bundle, Slay Markets offers three optional paid market data subscriptions, billed monthly: CME Level II depth, Eurex (European futures), and ICE U.S. CME Level II (full depth of market) costs $48/month for the all-4-exchanges bundle, or $16/month per exchange, for non-professional users. Eurex (European futures) costs $26/month for non-professional users and $99/month for professional users. ICE U.S. (ICE softs) costs $140/month for both non-professional and professional users. CME Level I (real-time top-of-book) is free with every Slay Markets account; the table also lists Level I rates — $12/month for the all-4-exchanges bundle or $4/month per exchange for non-professional users — for reference, and professional classification is a rate tier that changes the price you pay, not a separate subscription. The table below lists each Slay Markets market data feed, with monthly non-professional and professional pricing and what each feed covers.

Am I a professional or non-professional Slay Markets market data user

Exchanges charge different rates for Slay Markets market data depending on whether you are classified as a "professional" or a "non-professional" market data user, and the non-professional rate is lower. Most retail traders qualify as non-professional. You certify your classification when you subscribe to a paid Slay Markets data feed, providing an inaccurate classification is a violation of exchange data agreements, and you must update your classification if your status changes.

You qualify as a non-professional Slay Markets market data user if all of the following are true:

  • You use market data solely for personal trading in your own account.

  • You are not registered with any securities or commodities regulator as a broker, dealer, or investment advisor.

  • You do not use market data for a business purpose or to manage money for others.

You are classified as a professional Slay Markets market data user (the higher rate) if any of the following apply:

  • You work for a financial institution that receives market data as part of your job.

  • You manage client portfolios or funds.

  • You are registered with the NFA, CFTC, SEC, or equivalent regulator.

Does the inactivity fee apply if I only use simulation trading

Yes — the $35 monthly inactivity fee on Slay Free (Free plan) accounts still applies if you only trade in simulation, because simulation (paper) trades do not count as live trading. For full inactivity fee details, see Commissions, Exchange Fees, and NFA Fees.

Frequently asked questions about Slay Markets market data

Q: Is real-time market data free on a Slay Markets account?

A: Yes. Every Slay Markets account includes free real-time CME Level I (top-of-book) data for all four CME Group exchanges — CME, CBOT, NYMEX, and COMEX — with no subscription required. Only Level II depth, Eurex, and ICE U.S. data require a paid subscription.

Q: Can I get live market data while trading in simulation on a Slay Markets account?

A: Yes. Subscribe to a CME data plan and you will receive live data even while trading in simulation (paper) mode. Note that the $35 monthly inactivity fee still applies to Slay Free accounts that place no live trade within any 30-day period — simulation trades do not waive it.

Q: My charts are showing delayed data on Slay Markets. What do I do?

A: First confirm your subscription is active in your Account Dashboard under Market Data, and check that you are viewing the current front-month contract, since expired contracts show no new data. If your subscription is active and the contract is current but data is still delayed, contact support at support@slaymarkets.com.

Q: Does subscribing to Slay Markets Level II data affect my TradingView connection?

A: No. Level II (depth of market) and third-party platform connections are separate features. Subscribing to Level II does not enable or affect a TradingView connection.

Q: Why is ICE U.S. data the same price for professionals and non-professionals?

A: ICE U.S. data is $140/month for everyone because ICE U.S. does not distinguish between non-professional and professional users. Unlike the CME and Eurex feeds, ICE U.S. has a single rate that is the same for both classifications.
