Managing Unexpected Closures in Rotating Schedules
Unexpected closures, such as snow days, can disrupt rotating schedules if not handled properly. SLP Toolkit provides tools to manage such situations efficiently, ensuring your schedules remain aligned. Follow these steps to handle closures and maintain synchronization:
Step 1: Mark the Day as Absent
Navigate to the Daily Data tab within SLP Toolkit.
Click Actions and select Mark Full Day Absent.
Choose the appropriate reason (e.g., "Snow Day/Inclement Weather").
Step 2: Adjust Calendar Details
Open your rotating schedule and click Actions.
Select Edit Calendar Details.
Locate the closed date and deselect it from the calendar. The date should appear as deactivated, reflecting it has been removed from the schedule.
Save your changes to ensure the updates are applied. By marking the day absent and removing it from the calendar, SLP Toolkit will automatically adjust the rotation so the sequence remains in sync without requiring manual duplication of sessions.
