Creating an e-Course requires digital content such as instructional videos, presentations, quizzes, and interactive elements that engage learners. To set up an effective e-Course, organize and prepare your content in a logical flow, ensuring it’s both informative and engaging.
With Smart Arena’s authoring tools in Content management, creating an e-Course is streamlined, allowing for the integration of multimedia, interactive elements, assessments and certifications, enhancing the overall learning experience.
Creating an e-Course
First go to Course Management in the navigation menu and click on the Course Management tab.
Click the Create new course button on the top of the page and select e-Course type.
Editing an e-Course in Smart Arena involves 8 key steps:
General: Set up the basic information for the course, including its title, description, and general settings. See general.
Manage users: Select and manage the users who will have access to the course. See manage users.
Content: Add and organize the course materials. See content.
Survey: Insert surveys if needed, allowing for feedback collection from learners. See e-course survey.
Notifications: Set up automated notifications to keep learners informed about course updates, deadlines, and/or reminders and more. See notifications.
Certificate: Configure certificate settings for learners who successfully complete the course. See certification.
Additional course material: Attach supplementary materials, such as documents or external resources, to enhance learning. See additional material.
Course catalogues: Choose which course catalogues this course will appear in, controlling its visibility and access. See course catalogues.

The first three steps must be completed before you can save the course.
If any required elements are missing, the course may be flagged as incomplete. Key steps to avoid this include verifying that users are assigned and ensuring that content is added.
