The Problem
If, in the process of onboarding your HL100, you get to the last step where you set your location and press "Finish" but nothing happens, read on.
Why does this happen?
On some Android phones, when you switch away from an app, it goes into a sort of suspended animation. In effect, the app is paused at what it was doing when it was last open.
During HL100 onboarding, the Smart Harvest Onboarding Web App will first open the Helium Wallet app during wallet linking.
On the last step of onboarding the hotspot, the Onboarding Web App will then try to open the Helium Wallet app so the user can confirm they would like to onboard this hotspot.
Because of the suspended state of the app, the Helium Wallet App gets into a state where it thinks we're trying to link your wallet again, instead of onboard the hotspot.
How to resolve this
We've found that closing the Helium Wallet App after linking the wallet allows it to properly onboard hotspots.
To onboard your hotspot:
Close the Helium Wallet App
Navigate to the Smart Harvest Onboarding Web App - https://onboarding.smartharvest.ca/
Link your wallet (if not already linked)
Close the Helium Wallet App
Go back to the Smart Harvest Onboarding Web App - https://onboarding.smartharvest.ca/
