In order to claim your IOT mining rewards, you will need some SOL (Solana) tokens to pay for the transaction fees. Transaction fees on Solana are typically $0.01 or less.
We recommend having 0.1 SOL in your Wallet so you're set for a while.
Note: All blockchain transactions in the Helium Wallet, including swapping, require SOL for transaction fees.
To get SOL into your Helium Wallet, you'll first need to buy SOL on a centralized exchange and then send it to your Helium Wallet.
Steps to Send SOL to your Helium Wallet
We're assuming here you have the Helium Wallet app installed and set up
Find your Helium Wallet address on Solana:
Open the Helium Wallet app
Tap the Gear icon to open the Settings menu
Tap Share Address
Tap Copy
Save your Helium Wallet Solana address somewhere safe
Sign up with a large, trusted crypto exchange (like Coinbase or Crypto.com)
Use the crypto exchange to buy SOL with USD or CAD
Transfer the purchased SOL to your Helium Wallet Solana address (from step 1)
Wait for the transferred tokens to make it to your wallet
Warnings
Be careful and double check the address when sending crypto. If the wrong address is used, the funds will be lost and unrecoverable. Smart Harvest is not responsible for any lost tokens or funds.
Start small. If you're worried about losing funds, try sending just a little bit first.
Some crypto exchanges have policies that don't allow brand new accounts to withdraw crypto. You may have to wait to be able to transfer your crypto.
