Before you can integrate IglooHome with SmartRent, you will first need to install your IglooHome hardware and set it up within the IglooHome Mobile App.
Hardware Initial Setup:
To get your IglooHome hardware setup, follow these steps:
Use the included screwdriver to remove the four screws securing the battery cover
Remove the cover and install four AAA batteries in the appropriate orientation
We recommend using alkaline batteries from brands like Energizer or Duracell and not rechargeable batteries
Replace the battery cover and secure the four screws
Ensure the cover is properly aligned so the weather seal makes contact and will properly protect the hardware
For more detailed instructions, check out the Installation and User Guide for Smart Keybox 3
Other Hardware Considerations:
Here are other helpful tips and considerations to keep in mind when using IglooHome hardware:
The two included Lock Box shackles should cover most installations; however, should there not be an appropriate shackle for your install, the Lock Box can be mounted using the included mounting screws and anchors
In the event that the batteries are depleted, use the USB-C port on the bottom of the Lock Box to jumpstart the device and then immediately replace the batteries
The hardware is IP66-rated; however, in extreme climates such as Arizona, it is advised to place the Keybox 3 out of direct sunlight as the heat can negatively affect the device
