Staff Codes + Maintenance Codes

  • We recommend granting access to staff from the IglooHome app as the
codes from CMW will never expire and all the staff codes will also get the
    same code.

  • The Igloohome app user can share and grant temporary Bluetooth access to
site team members at any time.

Tours

  • When the tour is scheduled, we will create a temporary pin code that is
displayed for all keyboxes set up in CMW and marked as tourable.

    • Example: If a property sets up 7 keyboxes with 5 at the group level,
and 2 at the unit level, the prospect will receive 7 access codes.

  • The codes will only last for the duration of the tour.

  • A property can have multiple different types of locks on the tour.

    • Example: you may want a z-wave smart lock on the units and
keyboxes for common areas. This is possible, and the prospect will
not see a difference besides a difference in the length of pin codes on
      the access code cards.

  • SmartRent will support multiple lock instructions on the tour. The prospect
will be able to view how to use the keybox when the tour is ready.

Hardware Support

  • Initial Setup

    • Open the interior battery cover and using the included screwdriver, remove
the 4 screws securing the battery cover.

    • Remove the cover and install 4AAA batteries in the appropriate orientation.

    • Replace the battery cover and secure the 4 screws. Ensure the cover is
properly aligned so the weather seal makes proper contact.

Considerations

  • The 2 included keybox shackles should cover most installations however should
there not be an appropriate shackle for your installation, the keybox can be
mounted using the included mounting screws and anchors.

  • Do not use rechargeable batteries in the keybox. Only use alkaline batteries from
brands such as Energizer or Duracell.

  • In the event that the batteries are depleted, use the USB-C port on the bottom of
the keybox to jumpstart the device and then immediately replace the batteries.

  • The hardware is IP66 rated however in extreme climates such as Arizona, it is
advised to place the Keybox 3 out of direct sunlight in the shade as the sun can heat
the device to uncomfortably hot levels.
