When subscribed to notifications site team members will receive an SMS Text and/or Email alerting them any time there is an error from Ring when trying to arm or disarm the Ring Alarm. An instance of an error would be a jammed locked or an open window preventing the Ring Alarm from arming. If you experience an error, you will likely need to log into your Ring account to view the details and resolve.

Moving-In Residents:

When a resident is moved-in to a home equipped with a Ring Alarm, the alarm must be disarmed and removed from the home. Further, the Ring Alarm will need to be disassociated from the home in SmartRent Manager. This will ensure the Ring Alarm does not continue to arm/disarm itself based on tour hours while also allowing you to re-install and utilize the alarm in a different tourable home.

To dissociate a Ring Alarm from a home in SmartRent Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the desired Community

  2. Click Settings in the left sidebar menu

  3. Click Integrations

  4. Click Ring

  5. Click the Property Settings tab at the top of the page
