Parking Sensors give site teams real-time occupancy information for each parking space. These sensors can be used to collect data metrics for reporting and for proactive enforcement through automated notifications.
Sensor Styles:
Our parking sensors come in two installation styles: in-ground and surface-mounted. The in-ground sensors are best used in colder environments as this installation style protects the sensor from snow, wear, plows, etc. The surface-mounted sensors are perfect for warmer environments where snow is not a concern.
Gateway:
The Alloy Parking Sensors use LoRa, a low energy radio frequency, to communicate. In order for us to receive the data being transmitted, a LoRa gateway must be used to wirelessly communicate with the sensors. The number of parking spaces and size of the community will determine how many gateways will be needed for reliable communication.
