How Does the Brivo Integration Change My Daily Workflows?

The Brivo integration will change your daily workflows in the following ways:

Leasing (Move-In/Move-Out):

  • Move-In: When a resident is moved in, a Brivo user record will automatically be created for them and they’ll be added to all groups as defined by the Brivo configuration so site teams can issue a fob or pin code for community access

  • Move-Out: When a resident is moved out their user credentials and user record will be automatically removed from Brivo (all activity history will still be available in the Brivo interface)

  • Add/Remove Credential: To add or remove credentials manually, refer to our How Do I Add or Delete Resident Credentials After Move-In with Exceptions? article

Guest Codes:

  • Creation: When a resident creates a guest code, a corresponding Brivo property code will be created and added to the appropriate groups

  • Removal: When the guest is deleted or the access code expires, the property access code will no longer work

Delivery Codes:

  • Creation: When a one-time delivery code is created, a user record (tied back to the resident), a six-digit pin code, and an expiration date will all be created in the Brivo system

  • Removal: When a delivery code has expired, the code and the user record/pin code will automatically be deleted (history and activity will be available in the Brivo interface)

Manually Sync Data:

Integrations within SmartRent will automatically sync data every hour. However, you can manually force a sync at any time by following the steps outlined in our How Do I Sync Data From My Property Management System to SmartRent? article.
