Once your local Alloy Access Intercom is set up, you can connect your intercom to Alloy Access. This will allow you to manage the directory, integrate pin codes, and manage all intercom functions all within Alloy Access.
Note: In order to set up the Intercom, you must ensure your access levels are set. To add access levels, you can read our How Do I Create Access Levels in Alloy Access? article.
Syncing Access Levels:
To sync access levels with intercoms, follow these steps:
Log into Alloy Access
Click Sites in the left side bar menu
Click your desired site
Click on Configuration in the left side bar menu
Click on Access Levels in the left side bar menu
Click on the Pencil Icon of the role you wish to enable syncing with intercoms
Click the box next to Show in Intercom Directory?
Click Save
Optionally, after editing all roles necessary, you may press Sync Access Levels at the top of the Access Levels page to manually sync the intercom.
Adding Intercoms:
Now that you have synced your access levels, you can start adding intercoms into Alloy Access by following these steps:
Log into Alloy Access
Click Sites in the left side bar menu
Click your desired site
Under Configuration in the left side bar menu, click Controllers
Click the Add Controller button in the top right corner
Create a name for the Intercom and enter it in the Name field
Enter the IP address in the Connection String box (Note: If you are unsure of the IP address, please contact your network administrator for help)
Select the Hub and Model
Click Save
Click Sync (The intercom is still working even if the status is depicted as offline)
If the sync worked, you will see a SIP (Session Initiation Protocol or Voice-Calling) section below which should be populated with the SmartRent provided SIP
Ensure that the box next to SIP Account Enabled? is checked
