When editing a parking space, there is a method to transfer spaces from assigned to pooled parking, or vice-versa, to regulate parking inventory. On the parking space edit screen, changing the booking type can be one of two scenarios.
Transferring from Assigned Parking to Pooled Parking:
When transferring from Assigned to Pooled Parking, the following occurs:
Invalidates any decals assigned to the particular assigned space
Removes any residents assigned to that space
Decrements reserved spaces count
Increments pooled spaces count
Transferring from Pooled Parking to Assigned Parking:
Residents’ parking details, vehicles, and decals will not change for the resident that the Pooled Parking space is being assigned to. Only the following occurs:
Decrements pooled spaces count
Removes pooled vehicles and decal records previously on that space
Transferring a Space's Booking Type:
To update a parking space's booking type in SmartRent, follow these steps:
Click your desired Community
Click Parking in the left sidebar menu
Click the Spaces tab towards the top of the page
Click on the desired space
Click Manage in the upper right-hand corner
Change the Booking Type from the drop down menu
Click Submit
