What Do the Different Work Order Priorities Mean?

When creating work orders in SmartRent, you will be required to assign the work order a priority. The level of priority you assign will depend on what the work order is for and when you need access to the home(s) to perform the job.

Work Order Priorities:

Normal: Normal priority is for work orders that do not require any immediate resolution, such as changing the batteries in a door lock. Normal priority work orders only allow home access during business hours.

Medium: Medium priority is used for more urgent matters that require attention today but aren’t considered emergencies. An example of this could be a resident who is leaving town tomorrow and wants their issue resolved before their departure.

Emergency: The emergency priority is used when you need immediate access to a home, such as a leak sensor detecting a water leak. This priority will allow you access to the unit any time of day, including outside of business hours.
