What Types of Tasks Are in Alloy Install?

Each installation Job is made up of a series of Tasks. Tasks are individual duties that need to be undertaken during the installation process in order to complete a Job.

Task Types:

The Tasks that can be created in Alloy Install include:

  • Checkbox: The Checkbox Task is a simple way to ensure installers are performing basic duties during the Job, such as cleaning up the area, sanitizing the devices, locking the door, etc.)

    • To complete the Task, the technician must tap the Task to check it off as complete

  • Image Upload: Image upload is used as a method of quality control, allowing technicians to upload pictures of completed work for final review and sign off by a manager

    • To complete an Image Upload Task, the technician must tap on the Task to bring up their camera or photo gallery to add the appropriate image

  • Device Install: The Device Install Task is used to walk technicians through pairing Z-Wave devices to the SmartRent Z-Wave Hub

    • The Device Install Task is complete when the chosen device is included into the Z-Wave network

  • Move-In Residents: Move-In Residents allows technicians to move a resident into a home when work is complete, inviting residents to download the app and granting access to the newly-installed smart devices

    • Tap on the Task and tap Resident Not Moved-In to begin the Automatic Move-In process, completing the task

      • Note: this should always be the final Task completed

  • Ring Install: The Ring Install Task allows technicians to associate a Ring device to a particular home
