How Do I Add or Delete a Honeywell T10 Thermostat?

The Honeywell T10 WiFi Thermostat communicates with SmartRent via a cloud-to-cloud integration, allowing you to monitor and manage a home’s climate remotely via SmartRent Manager Web or SmartRent Manager Mobile. If a Honeywell T10 Thermostat is installed in a resident’s home, they will be able to monitor and manage their climate with the SmartRent App and the Resident Web Portal once they are moved-in. Once occupied, however, community managers and site teams will no longer be able to access the thermostat’s readings or settings.

Mounting the Thermostat:

Before the thermostat can be added to SmartRent, it first needs to be wired and installed. Refer to the installation manual that came with the thermostat for proper wiring and installation instructions. Before performing any work involving heating and cooling systems, it is always recommended to consult with your local HVAC professional.

Creating a Honeywell Account:

Honeywell T10 Thermostats need to be added to a Honeywell account before they can be synced with SmartRent.

To create a Honeywell account, follow these steps:

  1. Download the Honeywell Home Mobile App on your mobile device

  2. Create a Honeywell account (be sure to remember your credentials as these are separate from SmartRent)

  3. Follow the prompts in the Honeywell Home Mobile App to connect the installed T10 thermostat to the internet and your Honeywell account

    • Your mobile device must be connected to the same WiFi connection you wish to use for the Honeywell T10

    • Ensure your mobile device has approved the Honeywell Home App for Network and Bluetooth permissions in your device’s settings

*Note: Only 200 thermostats can be connected to a single Honeywell account. If you are installing more than 200 Honeywell T10 Thermostats at a community, you will need to create additional Honeywell accounts with different email addresses.
