You can email a tax return in TaxSlayer ProWeb from two locations: the Client List and the Submission Page. Follow the steps below to send a tax return via email securely.

1. Emailing from the Client List

The Client List allows you to quickly send a tax return without opening it.

Steps to email from the Client List:

  1. Navigate to the Client List in TaxSlayer ProWeb.

  2. Locate the client whose return you want to email.

  3. Click the Tools dropdown next to their name.

  4. Select Email Return from the options.

  5. A PDF attachment of the return will be automatically generated.

  6. The file password will default to the last four digits of the client’s SSN.


2. Emailing from the Submission Page

Once the return is completed, you can email it directly from the Submission Page.

Steps to email from the Submission Page:

  1. After finalizing the return, navigate to the Submission Page.

  2. Click Email Return to send the tax return to the client.

  3. A PDF attachment will be automatically generated.

  4. The file password will default to the last four digits of the client’s SSN.


Final Notes

  • Ensure that the client’s email address is correct before sending.

  • Clients will need to enter the last four digits of their SSN to open the PDF attachment.

  • If the client has trouble accessing the file, verify the password format and resend if needed.
