Step 1: Open Portfolio Builder from the left-hand navigation.
Step 2: Click the link in the top right corner to switch to the new Portfolio Builder.
Step 3: Add holdings by typing the names of equities, ETFs, mutual funds, or models you want to include.
Step 4: Assign weights so total allocation equals 100%. Use the Balance tool to automatically adjust weights as needed.
Step 5: Review the asset allocation breakdown at the overall portfolio level or for individual holdings.
Step 6: Use the Create Target and Generate PDF buttons at the top right for quick access when you’re ready.
Step 7: Select an appropriate benchmark from the dropdown menu.
Step 8: Review historical performance and compare results with your selected benchmark at the portfolio or holding level.
Step 9: Click a holding to access detailed statistical tables and updated charts for any type of holding you've added.
Step 10: Navigate with the tabbed view for easier portfolio reading and analysis.
Step 11: When ready, click Create Target or Generate PDF at the top right.
Step 1: Complete any optional PDF info, like name and portfolio size. Choose to include summary sheets, fee breakdowns, and whether to show platform fees.
Step 2: Click Generate Proposal. The PDF will open in your browser for review.
Step 3: In the PDF, verify model holdings are displayed along with individual securities, or see an allocation summary if there are more than 10 holdings. The proposal shows both total portfolio performance and individual summaries if selected.
The new Portfolio Builder blends models, equities, ETFs, and mutual funds seamlessly. Its intuitive interface helps you allocate assets, review performance, and generate documents with confidence.
