Online ordering tax exemption for bakeries in Canada.
If your customer's cart contains 6 or more items classified as "Sweetened Baked Goods" you can automatically apply a 0% tax to those items when they checkout.
Step 1 - Go to the Menus Dashboard > Sales Categories Tab
Click "Assign items" on the Sweetened Baked Goods category.
Step 2 - Assign Menu Items
Select a menu from the dropdown options, then check off the menu items you want to classify as Sweetened Baked Goods, the click "Assign to Sweetened Baked Goods"
Step 3 - Go to the Ecommerce Dashboard > Taxes Tab
On the Advanced Taxes section, switch ON the Sweetened Baked Goods Exemption option. If the customer's cart contains 6 or more menu items you've assigned as Sweetened Baked Goods from the Sales Category section, the system will automatically apply a 0% tax on those items when they checkout.
