Step 1 - Select a Delivery Schedule.

  1. Go to the Menus Dashboard, then select "Delivery Schedules"

  2. Select a delivery schedule.

*If you haven’t created any delivery schedules yet, here is a step-by-step guide on how to set up delivery schedules.

Step 2 - Select a Delivery Zone.

Step 3 - Select DoorDash to Manage Deliveries and Choose Settings

Select “We’ll use the DoorDash Drive driver network” and choose settings for the delivery fees. Note: DoorDash Drive charges 6.99 USD or 8.50 CAD per delivery.

  • If you want to cover a part of the delivery fee, just tick the checkbox and enter the amount you would like to cover.

  • If you want to offer free delivery above an order amount, just tick the checkbox and enter the minimum amount of order a customer must make to avail of free delivery.

Step 4 - Add “Driver Pickup Instructions”

You can enter specific instructions such as the nearest landmark, where to go, who to look for, etc.

Step 5 - Don't forget to save the changes you made!


FAQs

Does DoorDash take a commission?

No, they charge a flat fee of $8.50CAD or $6.99USD.

Does it redirect to DoorDash?

No the complete experience is on your Sociavore website. The only time the DoorDash logo appears to the guest is when they receive a tracking link to watch their courier live on a map.

How do tips and fees get remitted to DoorDash Drive?

Sociavore takes care of collection automatically to save restaurants time. Nothing needs to be done on the restaurant's side to remit payment or tips.

Here's an example:

The customer places a $50 order. They pay the $4.99 for delivery and a $5.00 driver tip. The full order amount is $59.99. Sociavore will automatically deduct $8.50 for the DoorDash Drive delivery ($4.99 guest + $3.51 that the restaurant is covering) and the $5.00 tip directly from the transaction (total of $13.50).


Where is this supported?

Restaurants will have to fall within DoorDash's delivery footprint. This means it covers ~85% of the population of the United States. Less in Canada. When setting up your Delivery Zone, we will check if Drive is available when you try to select it as an option.

What radius does it cover?

This will vary depending on time of day, driver availability and your neighbourhood, but it is 5-8 miles radius typically from your location.

What happens if there is an issue with delivery?

If there is an issue with your delivery service, please check out the support options below:

If you require immediate resolution for live orders, such as:

  • Dasher is 15+ minutes late to the store

  • Dasher took the wrong food

  • The guest calls the store & cancels order

Please call DoorDash support (855) 973-1040 (90% wait time under 4 minutes)

  • State that you are calling about a DoorDash Drive Delivery

  • Provide DoorDash with Store Name, Customer Name, Customer Phone Number, Delivery ID

For other issues that does not require an immediate resolution, such as:

  • If the guest has a complaint & wants a refund

  • If a dasher was rude to the store or customer

  • Billing/ Refunds processing
