Live Mode and Plan Mode are two distinct modes within Soma Analytics, catering to different training preferences and needs.

Live Mode

Live Mode is designed for immediate, on-the-spot task selection and performance. This mode is especially beneficial for athletes and coaches who prefer a less structured approach to training. It allows users to pick tasks from their favorites list in Soma NPT and perform them instantly. The key aspect of Live Mode is its separation of data; the information gathered during these spontaneous sessions is stored independently from Plan Mode data. This ensures a clear distinction between structured and unstructured training sessions.

Plan Mode

Contrasting Live Mode, Plan Mode is structured and plan-driven. Users in this mode adhere to a specific training plan. Coaches find this mode particularly useful for monitoring an athlete's progression over time, as it provides a detailed and organized view of their advancement. Like Live Mode, the data in Plan Mode is stored separately, which allows coaches to analyze and adjust the training plan as needed, based on the athlete's performance and progress.
