Tracking on-site hazards is easy in SortScape using the Issues feature. This helps your team stay safe and informed by flagging potential dangers like uneven ground, aggressive dogs, or exposed wires.

Use Issues to Record Hazards

SortScape’s Issues feature lets you attach notes or flags to properties and visits. This is perfect for recording hazards because

  • Hazards are clearly visible to your team when scheduling or on-site

  • They stay open until marked as resolved, so nothing slips through the cracks

  • Everyone on the team can add comments or updates

Create a “Hazard” Issue Type

To make hazard tracking even more clear:

  1. Go to Settings > Issue Types

  2. Click Add Issue Type

  3. Name it Hazard

  4. Choose a color that stands out (e.g., red).

Now when creating a new issue, you can choose Hazard from the dropdown.

Hazards Show on Properties and Visits

Once created, hazard issues will:

  • Show up on the property page so your team can prepare ahead of time

  • Be visible on visits, so they’re front and center on the day of the job
