SortScape can notify you by email and by push notification so you stay on top of customer replies, accepted quotes, new requests, and updates to issues. You choose which notifications you receive.

Where to find notification settings

You can change your notification preferences in the same place whether you use SortScape in a browser or in the mobile app.

  • On the web: Click your profile picture (top right), then choose Notifications. A settings window will open.

  • In the mobile app (iOS or Android): Open the app menu, then tap Notifications. The same settings window opens inside the app.

Your choices are saved to your account and apply no matter where you sign in.

Email notifications

These settings control which emails you receive from SortScape:

  • Weekly summary – A weekly email summarizing your upcoming work (if your account has this option).

  • Failed notification alerts – An email when a customer notification fails to send (administrators only).

  • Text message replies – An email when a customer replies to a text message (yours, or any message if you're an admin).

  • Quote accepted – An email when a customer accepts a quote (administrators only).

  • New requests – An email when a customer submits a new request (administrators only, if your business uses requests).

  • Issues assigned to me – Emails about changes to issues (or similar items) that are assigned to you.

  • All issues – Emails about changes to any issue, regardless of assignment (administrators only).

Turn each option on or off using the toggle next to it. Some options only appear for administrators.

Push notifications (mobile app)

Push notifications are instant alerts on your phone or tablet. They are only available when you use the SortScape iOS or Android app.

Enabling push notifications

  • Open the SortScape app and go to Notifications in the menu.

  • Tap Enable Push Notifications. Your device will ask for permission; tap Allow.

  • Once enabled, you'll see "Push notifications enabled on this device" in the settings.

If you previously turned notifications off for SortScape, tap Open Device Settings in the notification settings, then allow notifications for SortScape in your device settings.

What you can control

After push is enabled, you can turn these on or off:

  • Text message replies – A push when a customer replies to a text message.

  • Quote accepted – A push when a customer accepts a quote (administrators only).

  • New requests – A push when a customer submits a new request (administrators only, if your business uses requests).

Push notification preferences apply to all devices where you're signed in. You can use both email and push for the same events if you want.

Notes

  • Push notifications cannot be enabled from the website; you must use the SortScape app on your device.

  • Your business may use different labels (for example for "issues" or "visits"); the behaviour is the same.
