If you’re using Xero and have entered multiple email addresses for a contact (separated by commas), you may see an error like:
“Failed to create contact in Xero: Email address must be valid.”
Why this happens
SortScape allows multiple email addresses per contact (comma-separated).
However, Xero only supports a single email address per contact.
When you create an invoice in SortScape with Xero connected:
SortScape first attempts to create or sync the contact in Xero
If the contact has multiple email addresses, Xero rejects it
Because the contact fails to create, the invoice is never created in Xero
This is a known limitation in Xero:

How to fix it
To successfully create the invoice in Xero:
Ensure the contact has only one email address
Edit the contact in SortScape
Remove any additional comma-separated email addresses
