You can validate your Tax Free purchase at Madrid-Barajas Airport in Terminals T1, T4 and T4S.
At the airport, follow the signs for Tax Free, DIVA or Customs (Aduanas). DIVA validation is available near the Customs area.
Where is DIVA validation available?
Terminal 1 (T1): Fiscal Guard from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Customs is available 24 hours.
Terminal 4 (T4): Fiscal Guard from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Customs is available 24 hours.
Terminal 4 Satellite (T4S): Fiscal Guard is available 24 hours.
If you can't find a DIVA kiosk
Follow the signs to Customs (Aduanas) or ask airport staff for directions.
If a DIVA kiosk is unavailable or directs you to Customs, visit the nearby Customs office for manual validation.
Before you go
Have your passport, boarding pass, receipt, purchased goods and DIVA barcode in the Pie VAT app ready.
Allow enough time to complete the validation before your flight, and do not check in luggage containing your Tax Free purchases before validation, as Customs may ask to inspect the goods.
