The table below lists examples of hardware and accessories used in past successful implementations of SparrowQueue.

Although we have provided purchasing links for these options, we recommend discussing any hardware requirements you might have with your IT service provider or an AV integrator when purchasing SparrowQueue.

Digital Signage

Displays customer order numbers.

To be installed in a location visible to customers near the dispensary or in the waiting area.

50" minimum is recommended.

Computer

Drives the LED signage, depending on the type.

A computer may not be required for all digital signage types.

If a TV screen is used, this will require a computer.

Wireless Keyboard

Allows remote control of the computer driving the LED signage.

Setup within easy reach of the pharmacy staff in the dispensary.

Computer and Monitor

Used at the 'Scripts In' counter to collect customer information and add scripts to the queue.

Position for easy use by pharmacists and staff, avoiding crowding.

At least 3 USB ports must be available, otherwise a USB Hub will be required.

A touchscreen is also favourable.

Two 'Scripts In' stations can be set up depending on the volume of scripts and customer traffic.

Zebra Printer

Prints customer dockets with order numbers and prints pharmacist dockets with script information and preferences.

The printer will be connected to the 'Scripts In' computer via USB for easy access during the scripts in process.

Scanner

Captures customer data from eligible prescriptions.

The scanner will be connected to the 'Scripts In' computer via USB, allowing customers to scan their e-scripts.

Receipt Paper

Required for printing customer dockets.

Receipt paper must be compatible with the Zebra Printer, although most receipt paper will work.
